Give Directly From an IRA
If you are of qualifying age, a distribution made directly from your IRA to the Fund can satisfy part of your required distribution.
A qualified charitable distribution goes straight from your custodian to the Fund without passing through your income, which is a different and often better outcome than taking the distribution and donating it.
For donors who take the standard deduction, this is frequently the only route that produces a tax benefit at all.
How It Works
Tell us which custodian holds the account and roughly what you intend.
We send you the legal name, EIN, and mailing details your custodian will ask for.
Your custodian sends the distribution directly to the Fund.
We acknowledge it in the form a qualified charitable distribution requires.
Tax and Substantiation
Eligibility depends on your age and account type, and the distribution must go directly from the custodian to the charity to qualify.
Because a qualified charitable distribution is excluded from income rather than deducted, the acknowledgment wording differs from an ordinary cash receipt. We handle that.
