Recommend a Grant From Your Fund
If you already give through a donor-advised fund, a grant recommendation is the simplest way to support the Fund's work.
The money has already left your estate and the deduction is already taken, so a grant recommendation costs you nothing further and reaches us in full.
Grants from donor-advised funds also tend to be larger and steadier than card gifts, which is what lets us commit to a project before it is fully funded.
How It Works
Tell us which sponsor holds your fund and roughly what you have in mind.
We send you the exact legal name, EIN, and any details your sponsor requires.
You recommend the grant through your sponsor's portal.
We acknowledge the grant when it arrives and report on how it was used.
Tax and Substantiation
Because the charitable deduction was taken when you funded your donor-advised fund, a grant recommendation is not separately deductible.
Your sponsor issues the grant; we acknowledge receipt to you and to them.
